The 'No ID, No Sale!' campaign, run by CitizenCard, celebrates its 10^th anniversary by launching today (Tuesday 19 November) a new pack and a new website noidnosale.com

CitizenCard is hosting a series of 'No ID, No Sale!' meetings at this year's party conferences on the theme of preventing underage sales.

Trading Standards officers have called against a shop after a 15-year-old girl bought cigarettes at the store.

CitizenCard, the leading PASS card issuing company, has released new data showing that 13% of applicants fail to qualify for a card because of errors in their application. Most of these are a result of honest mistakes but about 3% of card applications are rejected because fraud is suspected.

Trading Standards officers have issued a warning to shopkeepers after snaring two stores selling fireworks and cigarettes to under-age children. Eddies Corner Shop, of Felpham Road, Felpham and Homefare of Chichester Road, Bognor Regis, were both cautioned following a joint Sussex Police and West Sussex Trading Standards operation.

Final warnings have been given to Aberdeen retailers found to be selling tobacco to underage customers. Routine test purchases were made at 15 shops across the city earlier this year using 16-year-old volunteers. Seven of the retailers targeted in the operation sold cigarettes to the teenagers.

More shops in Hampshire have been caught selling cigarettes to children.

Two shopkeepers who were caught selling cigarettes to an underage teenager have been fined by magistrates. Nanu Bhai Patel, 64, of Lea News, on Blackpool Road, Preston, was prosecuted by Lancashire County Council Trading Standards.
